Mexico City – Sex offender registry law

Mexico City Congress unanimously approved the initiative of Sex offender registry law. Next in Latin America Screening News.

With 55 votes in favor, zero against and zero abstention, Mexico City Congress confirm the creation of a Public Registry of Sexual Aggressors. This allows to have information of people with a final sentence for the commission of crimes of a sexual nature.

The approval of this legal initiative will result in investigations of these crimes being more efficient and guaranteeing the victims right to have a life Free of violence.

The information system will contain the records of the people sentenced with execution by a criminal judge, and their consultation will be public. It is estimated that by April 30 the first implementation of the base. Should be completed in conjunction with the Digital Agency for Public innovation.
